Storing dry fruit, nuts, and raw honey

Simple storage notes for dried Hunza fruit, walnut and almond kernels, and a jar of raw honey.

A jar of raw honey in warm morning light

Dried fruit and nuts keep their texture when they stay dry. A closed tin or jar beats an open bowl, and a cupboard away from the stove beats a sunny shelf. Walnuts and almonds in particular pick up fridge odours if they are left unsealed, so use a lidded container if you chill them.

Raw honey can turn grainy. That change is common in honey that has not been heavily heated. Standing the closed jar in warm water brings it back toward liquid. Honey does not need the fridge.

These are storage habits, not a promise about a particular batch. Follow the label that arrives with the order if it differs, and use the contact form if a pack arrives damaged.
