Sunrise over terraced slopes and peaks in Hunza

The origin

Rooted in the roof of the world

Hunza is a high valley in Gilgit-Baltistan, known for apricot orchards set under the Karakoram.

Our heritage

A shop for foods from Hunza

From Hunza was created to sell foods associated with Hunza and Gilgit-Baltistan: sun-dried apricots, walnuts, almonds, mulberries, raw honey, and apricot kernel oil. The aim is a direct shop for customers in Pakistan, with cash on delivery and plain descriptions of what is in each pack.

This page does not name a founder biography, a certification body, or a list of partner farms. Those details will be added when the business supplies them. Until then, each product page carries the origin statement that belongs to the catalogue.

How the range is described

Hand-picked fruit

Apricots and other fruit in this range are described as orchard fruit, not as a factory blend.

Drying and pressing

Dried fruit is sold as dried fruit. Honey is described as unfiltered and unheated. Kernel oil is sold as oil.

What we will not invent

Fair-trade seals, organic certificates, and named grower contracts are omitted until documents exist.
